Balboa is a swing dance that originated in Southern California during the 1920s and enjoyed huge popularity in the 1930s and 1940s. It is danced primarily to up-tempo swing jazz music (~160 BPM and up) and is danced in a close embrace position as well as a more open, closed position. Beginner (no prior experience required) The organisers reserve the right to refuse admission into class if attendees arrive later than 10 mins after the start of the class Come and dance the night away with great music and get your weekly dose of exercise in!
