KL Swing Community Disclaimer

KL Swing is an independent community of swing dance enthusiasts based in Kuala Lumpur. We are an informal, community-led initiative.

Participation in any KL Swing activity, including classes, socials, workshops, practices, performances, or other events, is entirely voluntary. Swing dancing is a physical activity that involves inherent risks, including but not limited to slips, falls, collisions, muscle strain, or other injuries.

By participating, you acknowledge these inherent risks and agree to take full responsibility for your own health, physical condition, belongings, and personal safety. Participants are encouraged to dance within their own abilities, communicate respectfully with partners, and stop any activity that feels unsafe or uncomfortable. This is also reflected in our Code of Conduct.

KL Swing, its organizers, volunteers, instructors, DJs, and event collaborators will take reasonable steps to provide a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment. However, to the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, we shall not be liable for injuries, loss, theft, damage to personal property, or other losses arising from participation in classes or social dancing.

Participants are expected to behave respectfully toward others and comply with our Safe Spaces Code of Conduct. Organizers reserve the right to refuse participation or remove individuals whose behaviour compromises the safety, wellbeing, or enjoyment of others.

Fees collected for classes, workshops, and events are used solely for the operation and development of KL Swing activities, including venue rental, instructor fees, music, equipment, administration, and other community-related expenses.

By attending any KL Swing activity or purchasing a ticket through our website or other official channels, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted these terms.
