We have something absolutely massive lined up for this Malaysia Day, and you do not want to miss it.

We are bringing two incredible instructors all the way from Busan, South Korea, straight to Kuala Lumpur: the brilliant LALLA & SUNNY. Known for their high-energy style, technical clarity, and infectious joy, they are here to help us move past overthinking and step into the pure, spontaneous fun of Lindy Hop, Charleston, and Solo Jazz.

A Quick Note on Level: We want everyone to hit the ground running, so the prerequisite for this workshop is a comfortable foundation in your 6-counts and 8-counts, plus the Swingout. If you’ve got those building blocks down, you are ready for this!

The Journey: What We Will Explore Together

• 1a: Sunny Five by Five (1.5 hours) - Solo Jazz | Beginners+ Level We’ll strip away the pressure of partner dancing and focus on individual rhythm. Sunny will guide us through a fun, accessible Solo Jazz routine, building the choreography step by step. We'll wrap it up with a surprise guerrilla performance to share the energy.

  
  

• 1b: Charleston Carnival (1.5 hours) - Solo Charleston | Intermediate+ Level This is another class where you dance solo, focusing specifically on high-energy Charleston kicks and steps. It is all about learning how to make your own footwork look cool, feeling the music, and enjoying the energy of dancing the same steps together with a room full of people.

  
  

• 2: Connection & Flow (1.5 hours) - Partnered Lindy Hop | Open Level

  If you’ve ever felt like your dancing feels clunky, heavy, or hard to follow, this class fixes that. Lalla & Sunny will show you how to communicate smoothly with your partner using just your hands and body weight, making your dancing feel effortless and smooth on a crowded floor.

  
  

• 3: Creative Lindy Hop (1.5 hours) - Partnered Lindy Hop | Open Level

  The "Swingout" is the most famous move in Lindy Hop. If you already know how to do a basic one, this class will teach you how to spice it up. We will take the fundamental Swingout and open it up to customisation - exploring musicality and variations that let you inject your own personality into every song.

  
  

• 4: Jam Season (1.5 hours) - Partnered Lindy Hop | Open Level

  You know when social dancers form a big circle, and couples take turns jumping into the middle to show off? That can be terrifying. This class teaches you the unwritten rules of how to join in without panic, how to support your friends, and gives you a few flashy moves to use when all eyes are on you.
